Sprint at Curborough - Saturday 7th June 2008
Highlight of the Marcos calendar! - The sight of Marcos cars racing round the track is breathtaking! The sound can be mind blowing (noise restrictions will be enforced).
An opportunity to test your car on the sprint track. Arrive around 1100-1130, with the sprint due to start at 1300. Bring a picnic and enjoy the sound of various Marcos being tested to their limits (hopefully not literally). Fee is £20 per car, two drivers allowed. Bring your own crash helmet, a must for use on the track. Come 1700, whoever is fastest in each of the three classes will be placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, according to times. Prize giving will take place at Shugborough Hall on Sunday 8th June 2007.
In accordance with track regulations, competing cars must pass a noise test scrutineering.
Saturday 7th June 2008 - Overnight Stop Ramada Cannock
Sunday 8th June 200 - Concourse d'elegance, and chin wag RAF Cosford - Staffs
The chance to meet up with Marcos friends from all over the country. The annual Concours judging and prize giving takes place at the Royal Airforce Entry is Free and the new 'Cold War Hanger' should not be missed, a greta day out. Beware though; you do have to a couple sleepers on the way up drive.
