2017

We'll be in Le Mans in 2017

Sadly time, funds and a few other things has meant things are not going to schedule and we've had to be more realistic in our ambitions.

This is a disappointment as as many of you know, the idea was to have the car race at this years Classic Le Mans. We had also been promised an engine but that has not materialised leaving the project short of finance to build the full 1293cc race engine.

Two French race rirvers Emeric and Pierre Bordet, owners of the two Le Mans LM 600's,  had agreed to drive the car.

It is our intention to have the car at this years Le Mans Classic to celebrate the 50th Anniversary. It will be on the Marcos stand and will take part in the open laps on the Friday.

Are you going to Le Mans 2017 and the Great British Classic Revival?

We have been going to both the Le Mans 24Hrs and the Classic for many years and have always stopped a few kilometres form the circuit at the Chateau de Chanteloup, and this time will be no different.

The friendly atmosphere and location make this one a truly breathtaking place to stay. The owners are true enthusiasts when to comes to the races and you will not find a more friendly welcome.

The site has many camping pitches, a few glamping pitches and a handful of rooms, the latter get snapped up very quickly.

As you might imagine, places for these events get booked very quickly, so if you want to stay there, you'll need to be quick.

There are of course many other places to stay around Le Mans and near the circuit, but we'll be at Chanteloup.

There' s a Marcos stand at the Classic, that is likely to be crowded, so if you are taking a Marcos car and want to park up on the stand, you need to act straight away. There's a form on the forum I believe, our contact Isobel Chivers, but I understand the space allocation has now closed. It might be worth dropping Iosbel an email though, jus in case space becomes available.
