Mantis XP Returns
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2nd - 4th July
The Marcos Mantis XP was a one off sports racing car built in 1968 primarily to promote Marcos cars at Le Mans. Originally fitted with a Formula One Repco Brabham engine, and later changed to the small block Buick, the car made only one appearance at the Spa 1000KM race in 1968, and was then shipped to the US where it has being beautifully restored by the Morris family and recently appeared at the Marcos 50th Anniversary at Prescott, organised by the Marcos Owners Club, Club Marcos International, Mini Marcos Owner Club and Marcos Heritage Spares. We can now confirm that the Mantis XP will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed running from the 2nd to the 4th July. After the huge success at Prescott last summer and the interest generated, the Morris family have received an invitation from Lord March to bring the car over for the Festival of Speed. This is a unique opportunity to compete it in one of the worlds most prestigious events in the motorsport calendar.
